This shot was taken from a low level perspective revealing what looks like an Asian tropical scene.
The lotus flower is an aquatic perennial. Sometimes mistaken for the water-lily, the lotus has a distinctively different structure. It also only comes in pink hues or white, whereas the lily comes in many different colors. The roots are implanted in the soil of a river or pond, and the leaves float on the surface.

A beautiful species with star shaped light blue flowers on tall stems. Green leaves initially faintly splashed purplish-maroon. Quite cold tolerant and sweetly fragrant.
The gardens display a wide variety of lilies and lotus flowes. Like this example, a floating Lily, some are sitting on the water's surface whilst other are at the end of long stems.
An old fashioned rich sky blue flowering waterlily. Green leaves with sparse purple specks and small blotches. Sweetly fragrant and a reliable grower.
