Red Succession (sometimes called a Pincushion)
The latin named Leucospermum are long lasting flowers of the Proteaceae family available in tones of red, orange and yellow. Pincushions are a spring flowering plant and are available from August to October in Australia.
An exotic evergreen plant, Phyllostachys Aureocaulis (or Golden Bamboo) creates a useful screen of lemony yellow stems.

The perspective created by arched gateways and brick wall draws one into this lovely garden only to discover a delightful wooden bench in the shelter at the end of the brick paved path.
Featuring a small pool with water plants, tall fir hedges on two sides and a magnificent Rhododendron across one end, this garden holds captive a fair maiden.
One wonders how long this maiden has been waiting by this shadowy footpath for her lover to arrive.

This delightful forest path invites visitors to take a leisurely stroll in the cool shade of the large trees. Just moments after taking this picture, a family of Lyrebirds ran across this path from right to left. I was too slow to get a picture.
Around every turn one is greeted by visual delights. Here the paved path leads through an ivy covered gate on on to more natural beauty.
