Hill Top, Near Sawrey With the sun and rain playing hide-and-seek behind the clouds, this lovely view shows patches of sun-lit across this valley. Located just outside the lakeside village of Bowness-on-Windermere, Lindeth Howe overlooks Lake Windermere, the largest lake in the country and the Cumbrian fells beyond.
Remaining largely untouched for the past 300 years, Hawkshead has all the charm and character of the perfect village. Hawkshead was once an important medieval town and the centre of the woollen industry in North Lancashire, so it is not surprising to find many beautiful and interesting buildings of architectural importance in the village.
