The Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail
This easy-to-walk trail runs a distance of 38 km between Lilydale and Warburton, along the former Warburton railway line. Walkers, cyclists, runners, equestrians all share the beautiful tail.
Grapes were first planted at Burgi Hill in 1867 by Yarra Valley Pioneer John Burgi. The original homestead property, together with its cherry orchard, remained in the Burgi family for 130 years until the Sargeant family bought it to expand their existing adjacent vineyard. The property is situated close to the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges between Wandin and Seville, just off the Warburton Highway and only 50 meters from the Warburton Trail.
