Banyule Flats Reserve ~ September
The Wurundjeri tribe occupied the land around Banyule Swamp and the Yarra River, with scar trees found not very far from the Reserve. This area was once part of the Woods Station, a large sheep farm comprising many hundreds of hectares straddling both sides of the Yarra River.

Read MoreThe tree is one of three located in the lake. It provides good bird nesting opportunity for many bird species. The death of the tree was likely caused by the flooded lake. The lake was created as part of the flood control in the Yarra Valley. This shot is a long exposure which smooths out the ripples on the lake and blurs the clouds.
