    Country Track

    I think that I shall never see A poem lovely as a tree. A tree whose hungry mouth is prest Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast; A tree that looks at God all day, And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

    Sky, Trees, Fields

    Here, I think, is the heart's grief: The tree, no mightier than the leaf, Makes firm its root and spreads its crown And stands; but in the end comes down.

  • Glenelg Jetty

    Glenelg Jetty

    The original jetty at this location was built in 1873. Fire destroyed it and since then a number of versions have been built in the same location. The current jetty was constructed in 1969. Glenelg is Adelaide’s favourite seaside destination set on the long sandy white beaches of Holdfast Bay. Only 20 minutes from the city and five minutes from Adelaide Airport, Glenelg is a fabulous place to relax, explore and experience Adelaide at its best. It's renowned for its wide beach, stunning sunsets, rich heritage, charming hotels and bustling shops, sidewalk cafes and loads of entertainment.

  • Wright Island

    Wright Island

    Wright Island is a 1-hectare island in Encounter Bay, South Australia. It is located between the popular tourist destination Granite Island and the prominent rocky headland known as The Bluff. The island consists largely of granite boulders. It also features low vegetation and a sandy beach suitable for the landing of small boats. The island is uninhabited and can only be accessed from the water. It was named after William Wright, one of the headmen of the South Australia Company's whaling operations in the Victor Harbor area in the 1800s.

    Under the Jetty

    Glenelg is known for its spectacular sunsets. But as photographers know, you need clouds with a separation line along the horizon to produce the best sunsets. I had to go with what nature provided here, so the sunset is poor at best.

    Similar to the previous shot, this one shows people silhouetted against the sky, walking, talking and minding their dogs.
