Beneath the Bolte Bridge
The most prominent feature of the Bolte Bridge are the vertical concrete columns, one on each side of the bridge. At first glance these appear to be a part of the structural support of the bridge deck. But in reality, they are purely cosmetic, serving no other purpose than aesthetics.
